Her Baby Boy

by Liz   Oct 5, 2008

The wish she made has come true
Her eyes are big with joy
So precious, so sweet, so new
Tears fall as she holds her baby boy

He is bigger now, growing fast
Starting to crawl, starting to walk
Oh how quickly the year has past
"Momma" he yells, as he starts to talk

She packs his lunch before school
Drops him off, and knows he will be okay
Leans for a kiss, but he says its not cool
His friends will see, and tease him all day

"Can I go see my friend, Devon
My homework and chores are done?"
"Sure, remember curfew is at eleven
Be careful with the car n' go have fun

He talks her hand, as they start to dance
At his wedding, his eyes are full of joy
They hug as he gives her a loving glance
Tears fall as she holds her baby boy
