Saddest Words

by Paralyzed   Oct 14, 2008

The saddest words, ever spoken, were,
I just don't care,
Nothing crueler, could be said,
Indifference, cold and bare.

Angry words, heated passion,
Bitter, but there's feeling,
When there's nothing there to find,
How do you start healing?

When hurt has numbed you to the bone,
And empty's all you know,
How do you come back from the edge,
And learn once more to grow?

Slip those words back in your mouth,
Don't let them take your soul,
I'd rather live a life of pain,
Than give up that control.

Passive blood within my veins?
It just could not survive,
Stronger than you'll ever know,
Or ever could contrive.

I love your word choice here and rhyming here and the thought you put into this piece. Definetly made me think, and I enjoyed reading through your words. Take care, 5/5 from me. Keep writing, always and forever....
