I Thought

I thought I was lost but now I'm found
I turned a new page without u around
I look up in the sky to see the sun shine
Since u walked away & left me behind
I thought I'd never laugh or smile again
But you made me strong my dear friend.

When you left, my whole world shattered
Nothing was important & nothing mattered
I've spent hours crying, a river full of tears
Because I listen to you, regret all our years
And just as I thought I'd never be the same
The feelings of disgrace & guilt I overcame

I told my sorry's and asked you to forgive
But you didn't trust and didn't want to relive
You've listened to everyone and ignored me
So I've gone to fetch for other fish in the sea
I thought I'd never let go of this love for you
I know I hurt you but you broke my heart too.

But...
Now that you've moved on to a new day
My heart still longs for you in every way
My eyes still cry because you're my one
But you left and a new story you've begun
You found someone else in such little time
And I thought in the end you'd return to mine

Behind my smile is a girl just waiting for you
I'm sorry I let you down & broke one in two
I lied about the sunshine, truth is I'm all alone
To you and to my friends I am no longer known
I thought I'd moved on to see a bright sunny day
But every sleepless night I miss u in every way

    Oh dora no.. it's been too long since i've read your poetry and after being so used to such love filled words, to come back to a broken heart is horrible

    Nice work. I can feel the emotion in every word, and can especially can relate too...

    "But every sleepless night I miss u in every way."

    The thoughts and connstantly can cause so much sleepless nights. Again, great work, keep up the good work.

    I thought too.........and my thoughts say ur an awesome poet..u rhyme cool..and put feelings in the words........and its alot hard 2 move on and get over the guilt feelings....alot true....5/5 obvious^^

    I TOTALLY FEEL YOU DORA YOU TOOK THE WORDS OUT OF MY MOUTH I WAS IN A RELATIONSHIP AND WE BROKE UP AND I JUST WANTED TO ERASE EVERYTHING TO BUT SOMETHIN TOLD ME NOT TO I GUESS LOOKIN AT THE POEMS MAKE ME STRONGER BUT I FEEL THIS POEM THE MOST BECAUSE I LISTEN TO THINGS HE SAID HE MADE ME CRY...I COULD GO ON FOR DAYS!!!BUT KEEP IT UP YOUR A GOOD WRITER!
