Veil of Darkness

I woke up this morning
dragged myself up out of bed
walking to the window
i felt the sunshine hit my face
i realized the dark veil
that haunted my mind
was finally being lifted
my soul returning to its former glory
i realized whats been missing
since it was torn apart
love and hope are floating back
my heart is healing
its no longer cold
my mind is anxious
to see what may come
ill take it one day at a time
taking everything in stride
