Not-So-Simple Truth

by KaceyBelladonna   Nov 1, 2008

Your looks are like knives
You cut me so deeply
Youre all I think about,
But you're wrong about me.

I think you're pitiful,
I hate the way I think of you.
But your pain makes me bleed,
I wish you weren't all I need.

We laugh and talk,
Fight and walk.
I stumble along, drinking in your presence,
Intoxicated by your smile, your smell...
It's time for me to walk away,
I can't stand the way I think of you.

This love-hate relationship of ours?
Well, it's getting on my nerves.

I should be stronger, not suffer any longer!
I need to get away from you,
Get some room to breathe
But you draw me back in; I'm stuck on you,
Lured in by your meaningless smiles.

I need to run away! As fast as I can.
Who are you to make me feel this way?
Embrace the darkness, falling backwards.
All is only a game of Trust.
