Infamous Fame

by KaceyBelladonna   Nov 1, 2008

You're on the way to the top,
Stardom shining in your face,
Transformed by the celebrity you're getting,
The ideal 'good life' you're living.

Where drunken stupidity earns you fame,
Broken glasses on dark roads shine like diamonds,
The smell of piss; your new cologne.

Don't you see what you're doing?
This uneven path you're treading?

Don't fall into the trap those liars set,
Producers with their slick-tongued deceptions,
Glistening with their misplaced promises.

So you think you're special now?
With those camera flashes lighting up your face,
Illuminating your empty smiles?
Those bright lights, do they burn your eyes?
Because you're burning mine.

It was about this show i had watched a while ago, how celebs basically have to sell themselves so i thought i'd write it from the POV of a 'normal' person with a newly famous friend :)
