Red Star

by Anea   Nov 13, 2008

Brightness and Darkness follow me each day
Gray sky, Gray clouds
Gray world that is now filled with fires
But only one red star above, will shine my way
Making me dream of a warm and sunny day

Dirt, my body will not lay here
I promised on my soul
I will become famous
I will win this war

Blood, my body tiresome
My physical pain
I saw my brothers get shot
I made it
The only one that stayed

Fire, spreads over my body
It will not stay still but I must keep calm
My service is my duty
I never knew it went this far

Has it been a year, has it been a day
Everyone is wondering, while the poisoned gas
filled our way

Dying pain, suffering ace
My legs got stiff
And I can only hear men shout
You there, why are you just standing look out!

My mind seems to realize
but my body I cant feel
I slowly drop to the ground
I deeply exhale
The air that is unknown to me
it freezes me inside
A tear escapes my face
My brothers I am dying

Brightness and Darkness followed me each day
Gray sky, Gray clouds
My gray world that was once filled with fires
But only one red star above, will always shine my way
Making me dream of a warm and sunny day
