His eyes, as bright as the stars in the sky,
Pierce through my secrets nonjudgementally.
Because he knows them, I must wonder why
He does care for me uncondition'ly.
In his warm embrace, my safe place to hide,
Unforeseen beauty is shown in its light.
When everything fails, with none on my side
I can look to him for strength to do right.
His sweet words of comfort, so kind, so soft,
Aid me in seeing the good in myself.
As his confidence raises me aloft
I grow as joyous as a small young elf.
His eyes, his embrace, his sweet words so clear
Show me that truly to him I am dear.
I wrote this for a friend's poetry project. She only wanted poems about guys. Not quite my choice... But opinions are greatly desired.
