Kindergarden Intentions

I met you that day
When I asked if you wanted to play
Because it did not seem right for you to stay
All alone and out of the way

--------------------------

We keep strong through middle school
Not like most of those fools
Who started to make new rules
On who was and wasn't cool

--------------------------

Then we entered high school
The dawn of new beginnings
And the start of my ending
Seeing you as just a 'friend'

--------------------------

The school days slipped by
I keep asking myself why
I felt like our tie
Wasn't strong enough

--------------------------

The second year began
And I decided to demand
An answer to my question
'Do you love me...like I love you...'

--------------------------

Of course I couldn't find the words
To express myself
So for another year
I lived in fear
Of you finding out

-------------------------

The second year turned into the third
And my time was running thin
But you I still had to win
In this game we call life

------------------------

Fourth year...and the last
My mind seemed stuck in the past
During the time of simple smiles
And brotherly love

But I had to do it now
Tell you how I felt
Because the cards had been dealt
And it was my turn

I could only hope to win...

Awe . Okay , you need to pick your rhyme scheme before you start to write , because it's all over the place . It starts out that the whole stanza rhymes , and then it's every two lines .. And then not at all . You need to fix that up a bit . Your lines still flow nicely from one to the other , and you really did catch true feelings in your writting . Well done . 5/5
