Shooting Star.

by Teria   Dec 4, 2008

Survivors in this game of love -
you've yet to break my heart.
I still dream the dreams of misery,
as you hold what's fallen apart.

My hands have yet to touch yours,
my lips have yet to kiss so gently.
My heart still plays that music though
that sings a lovely song for you...
as I wish upon a shooting star
that somehow we'll get through.

Soldiers in this battle won,
we've fought and fought to find
that somehow we're not meant to be,
with all that's left behind.

My hands no longer want yours,
my lips no longer linger.
My heart no longer plays that music,
which sung a lovely song to you,
as I wished upon a shooting star,
that somehow we'd get through.

Parents of the world to come,
you've yet to win me back again
as I still dream the dreams of misery,
from which a lover failed to friend.

My hands still somehow need yours,
my lips still secretly yearn.
My heart does hum that music,
which whispers a lovely tune to you...
as I wish upon a shooting star,
that somehow we'll still make it through.

'Tis moments that seem unending,
and love that seems unfailing.
The memories we've shared together,
that stops us from unraveling.

....My hands have yet to touch yours,
my lips have yet to kiss so gently.
My heart still plays that music though,
that sings a lovely song for you...
as I wish upon a shooting star,
that somehow we'll get through.
