My Home

by Hawaiian Chick   Dec 6, 2008

Inside the hole is dark and freezing
as I try to go to sleep,
Hearing the whizzing of artillery fire,
I need my strength, to keep.
Tomorrow I'll be braver,
as I fight them face to face,
Living in these conditions,
as I push to enemy base.
My home is what I fight for,
yet I'm many miles away,
I know I'll do my very best,
and I'll return home again someday.
