Deeper

by Krista   Dec 15, 2008

A little bit deeper,
but not too deep.
Scarlet tears arise,
all too soon,
all too fast.
Crimson beads shatter,
like a glass fairy,
thrown to the floor below.
Darkening, drying on my arm.
A little bit deeper,
but not too deep.

Hot and cold,
melt into one.
I'm so numb,
yet I feel everything.
Repeated waves of pain,
rock me back and forth.
Then, it's done.
Time reels back forward.
I start to sob.
Hot and cold,
melt into one.

Time is the only factor,
in my prolonged imprisonment.
A dark room,
lit by a crack,
telling me to survive.
Caked mud and bloody remains,
are the aftermath of this.
Time is the only factor,
in my prolonged imprisonment.

Ver sad poem but I still liked it. I gave it a 5/5. The wording was great and so was the flow.
