Hunger Pain

by Sarah Ann   Dec 26, 2008

Alone is the word. Alone in the world.
You're broken, you're bitter. You're crushed by the cold.
Its eating you slowly, its breaking your mold.
The shortage is growing, disrupting the flow
Embracing, engulfing, consuming your mind,
Well fcuk that, discard it, that wasn't the sign.

Its raining, its snowing, its pouring with sin
Your two feet are soaking, whats one more jump in?
Now you're going headfirst, plunge into the pain
But act like its normal...Pretend you are sane.

You're on the same route, just a different road
And pain is like hunger.
It never gets old.

Alone is the word. Alone in the world.

what an amazing line to start the poem with..no seriously, I'm speechless..
I love every word and line in your poem..Sarah you came back just the way you used to be..coming up with fascinating and stunning poetry :]

I loved the flow of the poem..it went really well and fast..although so fast that I wanted to enjoy some more lines of it..so sad..
But the simplicity in the length of the poem was done with so much talent.

I love the first stanza most..it totally rocked the whole entire piece..the last three stanzas were very intelligently written :)
I just love this piece..it's one of my fave for you
    Very well done babe
    Keep 'em coming !!
    xx
