Empty arms (Shadorma)

by Ingrid   Jan 2, 2009

Arms empty
Heart a vacant lot
You are gone
All is lost
Endless stream of tears flows down
Never whole again

A shadorma is a non-rhyming verse of six lines with a strict syllable count of 3,5,3,3,7,5. There can be more than one verse as long as the syllable count remains the same.
I got this idea from my friend Silvia: http://www.best-love-poems.com/poems.php?id=1098332

"The heart is a vacant lot". It carries so much meaning.
From what I gather that special person is gone and we can't wrap our arms around them anymore.Neverending tears running down our face. Crying at times help, it may help ease the pain but the person is gone and everything's seems lost. Beautiful write

Ingrid! I will positively enjoy this! A MISERABLE poem from you.....YOU who always tell me to cheer up and look at life's positives! lol
Ingrid - CHEER UP and look at life's positives!lol

On a serious note, I love a miserable poem - it doesn't matter how much we deny it - they move us. Like sad songs, sad films, sad books, sad.....I'll stop.
To the point: This moved me thoroughly and is a highly emotional piece.
    All the very best,
    Ben

it's beautiful, so strong and catchy (though strong in a sad way)
I see an unintentional rhyme between lot & lost.
