Brave Ulysses

by Timothy r   Jan 6, 2009

Touching the distant white sands
painted on a canvas, watercolors blend
turquoise and crimson illuminated
with purple laughing fishes
to dazzle your sun drenched mind

Hanging by a hook, just above my head
the tale of brave Ulysses is told
surrounded in an ivory frame
trimmed in black, laced with gold

To hear Clapton`s blazing guitar
while gazing at such an amazing sight
lends the mind to an earlier time
when heroes were held upon high

An epic tale, depicted in psychedelic
lore, a tale told many times before
about a man, ordinary in many ways
battling the sea to find his quest.

    Not too shabby!
Your choice of words really painted a lovely picture. Very bold and it flowed quite nicely.
    Good job! Keep it up!
Sorry if this is a crappy comment I'm a bit tired, lol.
