Circle of Perfection

Finding it hard to fit into society's circle of perfection
Always standing alone, sick of dealing with rejection
The certain image that apparently I just don't portray
Is taking over the world and leading everyone astray

It's funny actually, watching this insanity from the outside
People will do anything to fit in, but what will it provide?
Some fake friends who don't love you for who you truly are
Where does this get you in life? Well it gets you nowhere far

Finally I realise that being on the outside isn't at all bad
At least then you get to be yourself, of that I am glad
If standing up for what you believe in, leaves you all alone
Be proud to stand by yourself, you can make it on your own

    It's always interesting to see how we can work with contest/word challenges.

    This was a very enjoyable read, It stood out! Sometimes when things are written for contest like this, you can tell but your wordings and direction as a whole was indeed a circle of perfection.

    I lOve this One.... Very, very relateable yet again... Perfect rhyming, perfect flOw.

    --> I lOve this. Superb ending. I strOngly believe in the last line and try my best to always dO sO.

    Wow Cara these are the most amazing words you have ever written! I feel like it was written for me. This should definately be the winning poem of the week. Everyone needs to read this and make a stand to be who they are, I agree. I really love and cherish every line of it and it is going on my faves so I can read it daily to remind myself that its great to be who you are. 5/5
