Last Waltz

by Momentary Relapse   Feb 4, 2009

I know we're dancing near the edge
The fine line they warned us to avoid
One wrong move will be our destruction
Commence another step on the ledge

We'll chance this moment
Ignore their whispered words
Gliding across a ballroom floor
Twirl then dip, forget reluctance

We're driven further to that ledge
Succumbing to the pressures of our dance
The last misstep becoming our demise
While we slip another inch to the edge
