The day the light went out

A long time ago before i felt so much pain i met you and i was never the same i saw the beauty that would shame the brightest flower you where the light in my darkest hour but i drifted away into a other life i missed you badly i wanted to die

5 years on we meet once again you found someone I'm only a friend i told you how i felt after all this time you said you felt the same all that time ago but I'm with someone else now i guess ill never know if we could have been together

out of the fire i tried to save the embers but they only go out before i try the fires dead now and cannot relight you still are the light of my life in a world of darkness i cannot overcome you i cannot pass this
