The Courtesy Of Hate

by ADEL   Feb 26, 2009

My tongue will not drench
in neither English nor French
your ears with a story
void of power and glory
But with a whisper of desire
to end the war and the fire
and grasp the global peace
and the rest we admire
That races are but
the following plot
of life forcible
we stepped and trod
And the dreams we steer
in terror and fear
stateless in the lands
and the skies we peer
That future is a crust
from the ruins of rust
and hypocrisy is the realm
since the past of dust
And of dust are we made
but humanity still we trade
mocking the ethical tears
once pity goes to fade
That facts in me shine
hate to toward Palestine
but who am I to take
what is not own mine

What a powerful piece. I agree with Lonely Rider, if everyone could feel the true meaning of those lines....I would have liked it better for structures sake if you had divided the pice into stanzas. None-the-less, it was superb!

    Adel,
You write such exquisite works and combine them with so much passion. I adore your writing and think you have written some really great pieces of late. This reminds me of the song Imagine. If only peace were to exist, we would all be better people.
