The Return

by Fay   Feb 28, 2009

Your back again, why do you keep coming back to me?
I saw you in my dreams one more time & crying to
you my plea.
You've pretended to move on & make me jealous
because of her,
I still love her & that my love is the only thing you still
stir.

Heard your laughter, playing & screaming,
You knew I was in the background steaming.
You felt sorry for me & said poor thing, the line must
be bad.
I knew from your voice you weren't very happy but
still rather sad.

You asked me to leave you alone, & lose contact
forever.
Even though you knew that was impossible & that our
love I'll always treasure.
"Please" you pleaded, help me move on & lose contact.
I hopelessly replied for the time being to be exact.

"No" you cried, "forever", just hearing that filled my
eyes with tears,
I promised I won't lose contact for many years.
It was different this time, he was serious, because he
still had feelings,
I can't help him, there aren't anymore healings.

The thought of not knowing about him makes me
devastated.
But at least I'm sure that I'll never be hated.
Our relationship wasn't & never will be rated.

Go back, move forward, find her & forget me.
You've heard my plea.
Do not return, do not remember, do not imagine but
just never forget.
The days we spent, most importantly, the first day we
met.
