The Beast

by Inside the Liar   Mar 11, 2009

When you throw out your harmless flirtations
I feel unwanted butterflies arise
I never expected to react like this
The tingly feelings are quite a surprise

And no matter how much I deny it,
Your words still invade and ignite
Inviting with reckless temptation
To show me your love for a night

You smile pretty and boyishly wink
Draw me in with your effortless charms
And when you make your seductive promises
I can't help wanting to be in your arms

We don't need all the time in the world
Though five minutes isn't quite long enough
Just jump in your car and drive the miles away
All this unfulfillment is becoming too tough

I'm well aware of the danger
The concept thrills me I must confess
We can teeter over the edge together
I crave everything that you possess

I see something special inside you
It's been there from the very start
Feel free to be yourself with me
And maybe one day we'll exchange hearts

But for now, when I see you
I will linger and let my eyes feast
Then you can shed the good boy charade
Because the one that I want is the beast
