A valuable Lesson Learned,(Choosing Friends Wisely)

by Joy   Mar 27, 2009

Drifting apart towards our friendship's demise
i cant believe it has come to an end
My hearts cracked slightly, ive been taken by surprise
dying, backstabbed by what i thought was a friend.

Trusting in someone was always hard for me
But my good judgement turned bad around you
your sneaky ways were impossible to see
but i ignored the signs, didnt adhere to any clue

let you into my home, lending my hand all the time
never once verbalized a diatribe or lifted my voice
you took something near and dear, something that was mine
you didnt have to, but you made that debasing choice

i wont give you the time of day to apologize
an apology or "im sorry" wont cut it, by far
i'll reminisce on our past , and what it symbolized
and the sad truth is, i'll visualize an ugly, horrid scar

You dont know how to to be trusted
its a shame that its something that now needs to earned
i'll be sure to think twice before i look your way again
choosing friends wisely was a valuable lesson learned
