The book was never closed...

While the beautiful fairy tale was ending,
the princess realized a sad one awaiting...

All her previous suffering was just the start,
the beginning of the ending, but that was not the hard part...

The prince knew he was torturing her, still he kept
breaking what he already broke more and more thinking it was right...

As the little pieces..memories were being vanished
cherishing them and ending the story with them, she wanted...

She closed the story book with a smile on her face,
promising she will remember the precious moments...

Fading away he allowed her, easily destroying her spirit,
losing her he chose, coldly letting her fall apart...

But that was not enough, he needed her back,
because of his selfishness, he re-opened the book...

Not to replace the ending with a happy one as he promised,
but to cruely torn apart the few papers that she kept...

Still he wants her to be his, to play with her or throw her away,
that does not matter, what matter is that she is his...

WHY WASN'T HE THERE WHEN SHE NEEDED HIM?
WHY DOES HE ENJOY SEEING HER SUFFER?
WHY DOES HE PRETEND TO LOVE HER?
WHY CANT HE STOP AND LEAVE HER ALONE?

He was her everything, he is still her everything
he is the unforgettable according to her...

She feels, hollow, used, dead, left with sorrow and agonizing
now she has the story book but with a torturing ending...

She can not close the book now, she can not neglect her pain,
the end will forever be opened, as she will forever be broken...

She no more has anything to give,
she no more wants anything but not to live...

I think the mark of a good poem is one that evokes memories and pondering thoughts from the reader. This poem is definitely one of those, having been on both sides of the equation of the emotions displayed here, I can easily identify and sympathize.

Also written well, making it easy to read.

I like the idea that u used the open/close book as a metaphor of your relationship.Well everyone whose in love will face thier ups and downs. So yeah i hope that there will be a happy ending in the end for the both of you.All u need is just have faith, and faith will guide you throuh the storm.

    Nour....

Yes, you are a princess indeed...but a sad one now. I wish I could do magic and make it alright for you. I have seen you and him together and I feel it within my heart you belong to him sweetheart...I am seldom wrong when I feel things. Give it time, dear heart...leave him alone for a while and then he will start to think back and feel the emptiness in his world without you in it. If he truly loves you, he will return. In love we must never be proud, so please find it in your heart to forgive him when he does..maybe he is just afraid to commit himself. I have known men that ran away because they felt they loved their girl so much, thy started to lose themselves..but they always returned, because when you find that special person who makes you feel alive and loved..you are drawn to her/ him and feel incomplete without that one in your life.

    I hope this helps!

I am happy to see you post again and ins'Allah your next one will be a happy one, dear girl:)

Much love and a huge hug,

    5/5 Ingrid
