Only You Can Say My Name

by BornAgainWriter   Mar 29, 2009

Sometimes I just lay there, relaxing and not moving,
Looking at my wall- all the pictures and memories,
Trying to find the most memorable one to smile to,
There is something else on my mind; something beautiful.

Not pixies flying with their easily broken wings;
With the pixie dust falling from their pretty eyes,
Little feet and little hands with a gorgeous mind,
No not that, it's something more than all of that.

Sometimes I think it's just a dream that I dream about,
If that is true, why do I talk to her when I'm awake?
Do I dream all day every day, if so then let me sleep;
Let me sleep and don't ever wake me up from this dream.

Not about butterflies that talk and draw you pictures,
With rainbow polka- dots and pearl outlined wings,
That glow in the dark every time you turn the light out,
No not that, it's something more than all of that.

Sometimes I just get up, to walk all around here,
So that I can dream while sleep walking to the door,
Turning around, I sometimes hear you call out my name,
And only you know how to say it so perfectly; only you.

Only you can say my name, and give me the chills,
Only you can say my name, and make my heart skip;
Skips beats, but the beat of your voice in my dream-
Makes everything just imagery scene to write about.
