Life After Death

by Poet on the Piano   Mar 29, 2009

Our life here on this beautiful earth,
Is like a speck of dust in the air,
So tiny it appears like its no worth,
But that's wrong, something is there.

When we're living out our hopes and dreams,
We may think that life just never ends,
That its forever till end comes, or so its seems,
But remember what lies after and extends.

Try to grasp the words that I heed,
The message I want to portray,
That God will bestow you all needs,
If you do not mock or disobey.

For life is meant to follow His ways,
To do much good to all you meet,
To live a life of never ending praise,
In result you will later receive a treat.

After your body has passed away,
Your soul will arise to Heaven not Hell,
Based on how you spent each day,
If God's word you would gladly tell.

For imagine a world filled with perfection,
No hated war, burning evil, sin or lust,
How could you possibly have an objection?
Life after death is there, please trust.

Wow. the title was an eyecatcher and you really portrayed the topic very well. I did not expect what I read but I am glad that is how it was written. I think more people should read this poem and take heed to the message that it contains. Great Job 5/5

I really enjoyed this piece, because its one of those BIG issues that everyone debates on, if there is life after death or not. It was interesting to hear ones views on this issue through a poem.. I thought you did a good job and supported your opinion in an interesting fashion.

    Well done..

    5/5.

    MaryAnne,

I could not agree with you more, dear girl.
In fact I know there is a heaven, because I drowned at age 4 and was brought back to life. I have seen heaven and our Lord as well. It has left me a different person, knowing where I will go once I die:)
Beautiful poem, you always put so much effort in your work!
A very strong poem with a sound message!

    *hugs*
