The little moments

by joanne   Apr 19, 2009

Life lesson created from the past
Good friends die.Days go so fast

Shouting increased left no mumbles
Now a relationship steadily fumbles

Birds chirp singing sweet musical tunes
Summers nights watching stars and a moon

Evaporated water condensed fluffy shapes
a little girl analyzes the marks and scrapes.

A man lonely and lost work-in nine-fives
Ponders of how his broken heart survives

A woman brings warmth to the poor
Doctors look for a medical cure.

Teens ramble on about materialistic lives
A Valedictorian's only educational strives

Infants born its eyes shine curiosity
Humans earthly matters a monstrosity

Life slowly ends with each breath we take
Each step taken influenced by our fate

Nature dies humans soon after follow
Poisoned grounds we lay buried hollow

This was a great write, and to me it seemed that the consequences seem to grow darker and darker as the poem progressed.

'Life slowly ends with each breath we take
Each step taken influenced by our fate '

^I found this line very interesting. How everything we do influences tomorrow, especially the use of words, 'each step' 5/5
