Jump!

by Larry Chamberlin   Apr 24, 2009

Adrenalin junkies such as us
Fall through cracks in the 12-fold path;
We just keep jumping off of cliffs,
Headlong plunge to unholy wrath.

Broken heels and heads, sore tails
Expose the curse: the Banshee's call;
That wild look hidden in our soul
Only loosens up in free-fall;

Then only, we feel another grip,
Secure and firm: our final leap.
Landing, we walk or swim away,
To love, to eat, to drink to sleep.
