Looks as though
I was the only one
Who noticed you preening
Up in a pine tree
Beloved Cardinal
You were so quiet
I nearly missed you myself

    Even though the Cardinals are our Stae bird it has been years since I saw one....I bet it was beautiful :)

    I absolutely adore Cardinals. I have quite a few near my house and love to see them gather on the ground with the BlueJays. Oftentimes they try to go un-noticed, but I love watching them when I get to spot them.
