For my Faith

Its a long journey a Bird makes on first time flight,
So much to see and lots to learn yet life at stake,
But by having faith it flies across the ocean wide,
And finds a way back to its rightful nest,
So it’s done with Faith!

Just like a mother loves her baby,
So much to give away but little to receive,
The joy of that smile could endure the great pains of loss of gold and silver,
So by having Faith they battle their way through hardship of time and seasons,
So she does with Faith!

So many times, so many ways,
I didn't know which path to take,
But you gave me insight and opened my eyes,
Gave me the faith to step onto the right road,
That’s how I knew you were a true friend,
I knew with Faith!

I am here for you always,
Like for me you always were,
In over 50 years we will look back with fond memories,
On the days we were young and only 18,
And remember how with faith we kept our friendship,
We shall with Faith!

Since meeting you my life is so much more,
And no longer can I perceive moving forward without faith,
I hope that every step we take from this moment on,
That even if out paths shall sometimes part,
We shall never break the string that binds us,
Because to me you are my Faith!
