    Tom,
I am so glad to see you writing again. I could feel the love in this poem as you remember your sweet Hannah. I believe our pets are a part of us and they are there under no obligations. They love you unconditionally. They too will need that love as they grow older. I am so glad to see someone write about our fellow friends. What a great job you have done with this and I applaud you. 5/5

this is such a heartbreaking piece. I have lost 2 of my best friends within the past 4 years a mother and daughter. They lived to be 14 & 15......I have such a empty place in my life that they once filled.

    She knew that this day
    would overflow with sorrow
and also be filled with her remembrance.
She lent us the strength that
guided our hands and held our hearts steady.
She heard our whispers and those gentle sounds
echoed within her as eternity greeted her.
The touch of our fingers upon her soul
as it is lifted was welcomed,
and her joy gave it wings to fly
where we have yet to travel,
to a place where we will someday meet again.

How true your words are. They just seem to know when it is time for them to say good bye....It is us that don't want to let go. May Hannah rest in peace.
    Great job!
    Take Care
