Dead Hands Can't Save the Living

by Michael Shrawder   May 28, 2009

I feel the lies
On your tongue
I taste the deception
Dancing on my own lungs

How can the
Majority
Be so simplistic in their ideology

No human could have seen the power left inside me
To break free of the chains of conformity
To break free of the life that has only burdened me

A conscience deceived
By reverence undeserving of such adoration

You shall see
Beauty
Listen: For beauty is only skin deep

No human could have seen the power left inside me
To break free of the chains of conformity
To break free of the life that has only burdened me

Why do my words only fall on deaf ears
