Never So

by StormyWeather   Jun 10, 2009

Youve never been so sad, so silently beautiful;
never looked so solemn or so strong
Now, you are frozen, useless and unusual-
nothing I've ever seen has seemed so wrong.

You were life, and poetry in motion,
you were the song, the music I longed to play,
you were colours swirling, bright and wonderful;
you are numb and the world is an answering grey.

You've never been so dark, so dead, so pale as now;
never so lifeless as you seem to be.
You were vivacious, daring, so alive once;
how could you have changed to such a degree?

You've never been so sad, so silently beautiful;
Never looked so haggard as you've become.
Is this what love is?
If so, let it release us both.
I never wanted to see you come undone.
