Believe

by ChrisT   Jun 20, 2009

A million thoughts cloud my mind
While this thin blanket attempts its heat
In this wild cluster I sought out to find
How can I fall when there is no defeat

Slowly the room grows dark
And I fall to sleep
Where this fantasy leaves its mark
A feeling I wish to keep
Wind blowing past your soft face
And it's hard for me to breath
My heart is winning this race
But the words can't break my teeth
You make me stumble to a fall
And before the ground is felt
Just then you'll catch me after all
And in your loving arms ill melt
Into a pool we swim in dreams
where our love sings
Of joy it seems
The happiness this brings
Makes a smile in my sleep
But when I wake to this place
I again wish I could keep
My lips to your face

Maybe some things are hopeless
Like a suicide tree
That hangs rope less
Just for me
But I could never feel that way
Never in my life
What would my heart have to say
If I just ran from all the strife

It would tell me
Just to wait
Some day I'll see
That there is some kind of fate
We just have to believe....
Do you believe?

--I like this part a lot. Leaves you with a lot to think about. :-) I don't care if you say you don't like your older work, your words are marvelous. <3
