Too Many Times

by Melissa   Jul 1, 2009

Too many times,
I've ambushed myself
and behaved like a princess
trapped inside a skyscraper of poem,
attempting to scrawl another language
known only to him

but I'm a modern day Cinderella,
no more hands and knees
pleading for omniscient company~
I've got an ergonomic pen,
espresso,
and my eyes are on an imperfect prince-
he's got a way that titillates the spine
with endeavoring notions,
and his poetry is disheveled
even more so,
than mine
