I had just been trying to catch a break.
Trying to find someone who would be right.
I gave up all hope and wanted to give up.
But then I met you and it all changed one night.

Your personality was everything I wanted.
Your looks took me by storm.
Your voice was sweet music to my ears.
Something about you made me feel warm.

You seemed like you were completely perfect.
A girl that I had only seen in my dreams.
I never thought there was a girl like you.
There is no way this can be what it seems.

Then i found out there was another guy.
Once again I fell short and I'm second best
Turns out dreams don't always come true.
And I am just like all the rest...

I fell for you fast and got my hopes up.
There is a pain now pulling at my heart.
I know that you have told me we were just friends.
But i had hope and now I'm falling apart.

I got to know you and it seemed so right.
I thought that everything was turned around.
There was a reason you were on my mind at night
But instead of flying I'm still on the ground.

I sit here as the rain hits the window glass.
The sound of my tears are covered by thunder.
Once again it is not my time.
I just have to sit here and just wonder.

Why do i feel like it was all a lie?
And when will you realize I belong with you?
