If Only

by Sylvia   Aug 2, 2009

If only you could feel the breeze caressing your face,
and know it is me, far away, touching you with loving care.

If only you could hear the voices,
and know it is me whispering words I ache to speak.

If only you could feel a tickle brush your lips,
and know it is me sending a kiss with love.

If only you could feel the warmth of an embrace
and know it is me holding you in lonely arms.

If only you could feel a presence surrounding you,
and know it is me forever there in my thoughts.

If only you could feel the depths of my passion,
and know it is me with visions of us.

I absolutely love this poem. It's filled with emotion. I wrote a poem that sot of has the same meaning, could you please check it out? It's called 'My secret love'

    5/5 well done!

A yearning heart that wishes for love's
    presence...nicely written.

I think this poem is really great and as I have said many time before my admiration for the new and old members of our sight grows daily,
simply because I never get bored reading their poems though at time I can wander why.
I am glad to say this poem is going into my excellent and with my favourites it is beautifully craft and balanced and it stirred me. 5/5 Ray S

I agree with everyone. Sad but romantic. I don't normally like repetition but you made it work in this case. Good job
