Meena this is a very heartwrenching piece. The picture you have painted is filled with so much sadness,

If only you can feel Mother Natures grief
you will not strip her of her dignity
raping her with metal hands which are unclean,
her unsullied lushes robe of green
painfully ripped away from her muted body.

Wow what a stanza this is. Very deep and powerful. Great message in this piece. Man is destroying the very thing he needs to sustain life :(
    Great job!

A great write about a sad truth... we are killing Mother Nature, and all the beauty she holds. Taking away her presence, so that her "beautiful figure" (LOVED this image!) cannot be seen. An awesome poem, that holds a strong message with powerful images.

    Brilliant!

We are destroying Nature, little by little. Trees, grass, flowers, animals. We should take care of them, they make this world beautiful and worthwhile. Well done.

    Dear Meena,

Recently I met someone on here, who feels somehow connected to the ancient people like I do, in particular the Indians.

The "civilized"people often feelt they somehow are worth more than them...but in reality they lack common sense to a degree that is almost ridiculous. The ancient civilisations only killed the animals they needed to feed themselves and every single part of the carcas was used. They made latrines, far away from their tipis and kept themselves and their environment clean. All this happened while we lived as animals and our feces ran down the middle of our streets and deseases like Cholera could spread with ease due to our inability to behave intelligently and it only got worse, because when we made"progress" we only made the damage worse and invented even more harmful tools to destroy our surroundings.
All could be lead back to one single fact: we do not respect the place we are allowed to live on, just as a lot of us do not respect our bodies..until it's way too late and it's already beyond repair ( cancer, diabetes which are often[ not always!] caused by abusing the body).
I feel strongly we are heading for disaster, just because we are too proud and stubborn to change our ways:/ We truly are the laughing stock of our planet.

    Good poem girl, you rock<3

    *hugs*

    Hello Meena

A powerful write you have penned here with a sentiment that everyone should stand up and take notice of; we really are doing untold damage to this beautiful world, aren't we? However, I wonder if Mother Nature may yet have the last laugh at our arrogant expense...
I love the rhyme scheme you have employed in this piece, by the way.

I hope you are well and all the very best,
    Ben
