Pieces of Sanity

by BitterXSweetness   Aug 18, 2009

Grabbing grip of this piece of a whole
as everything else falls apart
It's hate, not love that's developing
somewhere deep in my heart

Lost as I feel numbness
while the world is crashing down
Everything is silent,...
only my heart pounds

Crashing and burning
when will my numbness end?
Broken and bleeding
My soul will never mend

The pieces of me are scattered on the floor
As the wind takes me away
No longer whole but broken
Forever my life is in disarray

But I'm still trying to hold tight
to this last piece of me
This little thing ...
that I still try to call sanity
