Wishing and wondering
What is the truth:
Does really all boil down to
Everything's you?
I hate you I love you
Is there no in between?
I intensely appreciate
The new mean side of me.

Spiteful yet hopeful
What is revenge:
Why must I always verbally
Myself defend?
I hate you I love you
Is there no in between?
I long to look for
The old nicer side of me.

Lovely but lonely
What is me:
How can the world say
It honestly cares deeply?
I hate you I love you
Is there no in between?
I think I'll find myself
Eventually.
