The Auburn Huntress.

by Solus   Sep 16, 2009

Quite little feet carry her into the eventide.

Her green pale eyes inquiring the dark for where the prey may hide.

Destitute, but unbroken. Her form all but sublime.

The soft and cream like fur dulled by years of callous grime.

She the weary and unyielding seraph of kindness and care.

The vigilant guardian of those she holds dear with her every breath of air.

A feline lullaby intoned upon her disheveled cast.

She pounced that day amid my life so long now passed.

My heart laments, its ebon tears the nemo soul does sever.

For the auburn huntress sleeps now in the halcyon night forever.

This reads like a very famous poem. It should be made famous!

Like others of yours it evokes a scene and a story, a motive and a means. Write more on it?

    This was really good...

"My heart laments, its ebon tears the nemo soul does sever.

For the auburn huntress sleeps now in the halcyon night forever."

so sad...but that was my favorite part.

I really like the images you pull into play here--"green pale eyes," "destitute, but unbroken," and "auburn huntress." It makes the writing come off the page.
