Beautiful brown eyes close as you slowly fade away,
I pray the heart you have given me is mine to keep,
Kissing the freckle on your chin, I promise to stay,
Just by looking at you, I know that angels sleep.

As you breathe I realize you're the reason I can,
The air in my lungs and the beat of my heart,
I smile thinking back at how this true love began,
