Part 3
A dream within the night

it feels like an eternity
that i have been sleeping
when i hear her voice
as it calls softly to me
somehow she has found me
once again
but my name she speaks
is no longer one
which i heed
for my dearest friend
i am so dreadfully sorry
but no longer am i
that one
which you seek
this empty thing
standing here today
is but a pale
plastic forgery
of the man
you remember me to be
for even though
i guess I'm still breathing
no longer am i
truly alive
as it is far safer to sleep
than it was to dream
easier to ignore the voice
that once screamed inside

    I have read all three and I can't say that I agree with the two ahead of me. Sometimes I get caught up in bigger stuff but I am for the most part a very simple person and I love the simplicity in your ending. Part 1 and 2 were fantastic and it led to an even better ending...I would hate to know this was someting that you truly experienced with a loved one however, it seems too real to be something that you just wrote. I think we can relate as I'm sure everyone has experienced a time in their lives where someone "haunted" them - I think you have penned it so beautifully and expressed your feelings in such a unique way. Your style is unique in its own and totally captivated me. I read several of your writings and am intrigued by what you have to say. I am not into the "cookie cutter" poetry - I like writers who are creative and you surely are!

    You asked in a note to me if I write to read my poems aloud...I do and have attended many gatherings with poets in my area. However, while I was reading these three pieces I was imagining how they would sound if read a loud....what a beautiful thing it would be! You are an awesome poet my friend! I look forward to spending more time reading your art! :)

    This is good apart it misses some punctuations. I think you should write another part. I very much love part 1&2 but expect part 3 to be excellent as the two previous, so i was a bit disappointed, yet you know it's human nature. When we discovered something excellent at the start, we expected it until the end. Very well done on such a journey you took me as i read along and each time i crave for more. Very well done. Since the over all prose/story is excellent, this merit a 5/5 also. kel.
