Halloween...

Halloween is a spectacular time,
When kids all gather to meet.
Dressed up in their fancy gear,
And receiving lots of treats!

Hands are freezing, eyes lit up,
As fireworks daze their eyes,
Shooting a spectrum of colour high,
Up into the skies!

Mum will make an apple pie...
Its nice and warm inside.
It tastes delicious, sugary, and sweet.
And inside it has a surprise.

A silver coin for one to find,
Who shall get the cut?
The one with the money inside it...
It never was my luck!

Memories of Halloween I love,
When as a little child...
I held my pumkin for all to see,
As it lit my face with pride!

    as special days come up they take us back

    I remember these days. I dont go trick-or-treating anymore because I'm 'too old' LOL, but it was fun while it lasted. A very cute poem, made me smile. It definatly does bring some childhood memories back. Loved this, I will have to try and put one together myself. :] Well done!!
