Make Believe Or Real Happiness?

by Hallo A Lilium   Nov 5, 2009

Always looking in a mirror that holds false pretenses,
Lost in yourself & disillusioned about the world around.
Climbing up a mountain of lies and built up of shaky defenses,
Reaching the very top and then falling back to the ground.

Solitude is all that you crave and the only thing you seem formidable to.
Left in your own disarray of sorrow's and mistruth.
Blindly spiraling into a wayward passage of life.
Praying for redemption, but you're asking the wrong guy.

Signing your future to the devil and delaying off the help you need;
Selfishly getting a daily fix that only adds momentum to your greed.
Trying harder each night to get a peaceful nights rest.
But in your dreams lay horrors that you find punishing and that you detest.

My advice to you is follow the path that in turn will heal.
See that with guidance all that happiness can be real.
Open up the gates of heaven and close the door to hell.
Let go of all the make believe and in time you will prevail.
