Your Love

by Countess of Monte Cristo   Nov 11, 2009

Your love was like a battle,
Your love gave me much pain.
But i swear if i could turn time,
Without hesitation, I'd love you again.

Your love broke me to pieces,
Your love shattered me bad.
But I'd trade everything,
for the moments that we had.

Your love was like a thunder,
Your love electrified me dear.
Oh where art thou, my sweet beloved?
I want your hand to erase my tears.

Your love was like a beautiful novel,
Your love was a story that had to end.
But worry not, most precious creature,
You can always consider me a friend.

Your love was like a battle,
Your love gave me much pain.
But i swear if i could turn back time,
I'd love you all over again.

*Yes i would...

This poem shows how much you felt for the person you wrote this about. Sometimes it's better to be friends rather than lovers like in this case as the person hurt you in some way.

    Walah
What a very touching piece. I think once we love someone that love will always be in our heart. WE just sometimes see it isn't the best thing for us.
    Excellent Job!

Time heals all hurt but before it does, we do feel like loving that person all over again. The problem is that if it didn't work the first time, it won't work again. You expressed feelings that we all have had about that kind of love if we only admit it. Well done.

Sometimes someone we love so much can hurt us but what they mean to us sends us running back to them. I think many could relate to your poem. A great write, relateable & it flowed nicely. Well done.
