The Night

by Rafael Navarro   Nov 15, 2009

Falling into through and break
My feelings for you were never fake
Memories that will never fade
Left alone in this sea of sorrow left to wade
Looking into the starry sky wishing to follow the moon
But then the light swallows the nights beauty so soon
The sun hides the truth of the universe with a blanket of blue
But I see past the light I see past the lies the night deserves its due
Cold lonely and yet so beautiful is my night
It shimmers with twinkling jewels what a sight
Yet then the sun rises to push it away in a jealous way
Why wont you let my night stay
Im there for my night Im her company leave her with me
Let me repay the due the night I owe
It held me when I was sad
It brought me serenity when I was mad
It was inviting when I was alone
Yet the light came my due it will postpone
What wonders yet to be discovered in the night
What wonders it hides still from the light
No one can understand the night but I
No one listens to you but I try
My escape you are my home
You teach me I read you like a tome
People fear you because you are true
People fear you because your mysterious
My night
My night
