Ode to my twins

With tremendous joy I watched you grow,
held you close to my heart, from the start.
Bathed you, nourished your skin with oils
and dressed you in the finest silk and lace.

When we go out for a walk or a party
your presence leaves me so proud and
self-confident, no other could add this way
to that feeling of blissful femininity.

I pray for the three of us to be together
in perfect health until the day I die.
To ever be without either one of you
would crush my spirit, that is no lie.

    I liked this poem for the fact that when reading it you have a certain interpretation but after looking at the link you understand the real meaning of the poem. Something I've never seen wrote about before--nicely done.
