The Four Loves

by Michael D Nalley   Nov 21, 2009

Affection, friendship and God speak to me,
Though that damned Eros has been Greek to me,
I put the cart before the horse,
Then had to get a divorce,
Now the mischievous angel's meek to me.

I smiled. I laughed. I shook my head. This is a joke on all of us from the powers that be, and now, we can laugh back, thanks to you. Great work.

I think I may have read this somewhere in a thread on our club because I remember seeing it. Its pretty clever and I'm sure many people who have been in long relationships/marriages can relate. nicely done 5/5

I would say that this is greekly funny, I like how you infuse the elements of God's love into this poem. But however i don't really get the divorce part, I guess you were just trying to make a some silly rhyme out of the whole poem but nonetheless i really did enjoy the poem.
