Then it Dawned on Me {3-6-09}

by Brittany Klein   Nov 22, 2009

There was this night
I sat beside my bed
picturing each memory
and all the words I said.
Then it dawned on me
what I should do
so I folded my hands
and prayed up to you.
I asked you a question
I thought you could respond
but then it dawned on me
that your life here is gone.
I remember that one
happy and joyful day
on Christmas morning
where I had nothing else to say.
I wanted to ask you
if you loved me
but then it dawned on me
you loved me more than you could see.
