Little things that make you smile

by Stephanie Naylor   Nov 26, 2009

Little things to make you smile.

A kiss upon the forehead
a reassuring hand to hold yours tight.

Someone to hug you and tell you
everything will be alright.

A question asked that makes you
grin from ear to ear.

A yes that you utter that
makes you start to tear.

Vows spoken to love each other
until the end

Between two people, eternally
lovers and friends

The eventual pitter patter
of little feet on the floor

20 years from then
they'll be knocking at your door

A kiss upon my forehead
a hand that held mine tight

while i slept for the last time
next to you that night.

The flow is a little off , but that could be fixed by doing a syllable count and making a few lines longer. I really like how you seperated your ideas in the two line stanzas, it's effective on the way I read it .. And your rhymes are really good for the most part . This is a really cute poem , 5/5 .
